The reasons I'm conflicted

The place had a peaceful ambiance! The heated bathroom floor and comfortable room were wonderful touches that enhanced the experience.

The restaurant offered a limited and pricey menu, disappointing for a remote location.

Its unique, very central location was a plus. It was steps away from Skalholt downtown;)))

wonderful place, clean, great value. location short walk to the bridge over the river hvita at itha and a nearby restaurant for dinner. comfortable room, reasonably clean bathroom.

The only positive was the convenient location, but lugging my suitcase from the distant parking was so taxing! The menu was limited and overpriced- unacceptabale! I expected at least a complimentary breakfast for these inconveniences, but apparently, that was too much to ask. I wanted to give it a good review, but I just couldn't!

The breakfast was tasty, the food was fantastic! Location: the hotel was just next door to a nearby restaurant and the chapel itself and the bridge over the river Hvita at Itha. It was also right at Skalholtskirkja.

It was a wonderful hotel in a calm area, close to a hill as well as beautiful nature. The location was amazing, for example, an official church was not very far from the venue.

Parking requires a trek from the hotel rooms, which can be a hassle when hauling luggage. The restaurant has a limited menu with pricey options compared to other eateries nearby. Blinds in the room don't block out light well, and the toilet ran all night.

Cozy, clean spot with lots of charm! Loved the homemade granola and fresh bread at breakfast, paired with their tasty kombucha. Ope, and those hot tubs were a real treat after a day out. A bit of a mess in the shower, but no biggie. Would definitely come back again!

We loved the peaceful and beautiful rural location, surrounded by lovely scenery and close to local historical sites. The staff were attentive. Our room was comfortable, clean, and equipped with excellent blackout blinds, great to rest well after a day of exploring.

Dining options seemed limited since I didn't have time to try the restaurant, and the amenities felt somewhat basic compared to nearby establishments.

Hotel Skalholt Review. I highly recommend this place and would definitely book here again. The meals were outstanding, and the room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was great and provided everything we needed. The venue is centrally located near a church and conveniently close to the Golden Circle.
